[Solved]Transformer Voltage Regulation Problem

Transformer Voltage Regulation Problem: Here, you can learn how to solve the question on voltage regulation of a transformer.

Question: Transformer Voltage Regulation

A 100 kVA transformer has primary and secondary turns of 400 and 100 respectively. Its primary and
secondary resistance and reactances are
r1 = 0.3 Ohm,r2 = 0.015 Ohm
x1 = 1.1Ohm, x2 = 0.055 Ohm
The supply voltage is 2400 V.
Calculate
(a) Equivalent resistance and reactance on the primary side
(b) Voltage regulation and secondary voltage at a power factor of (i) 0.8 lagging, and (ii) 0.8
leading
(c) The power factor for zero voltage regulation.
